Selamta....it is not news that we have problems as far as coaches....but the question remains....what is the problem....how come we cant identify it and solve it.....I fully understand that coaches arenot the only responsible....players have their share too, as well as others (federation etc...) Neger gin, we still havent pinpointed out that effort or solution that is going to take us out of this drought of national team performances ....As far as i am concerned, I think the solution(not the problem) could be easily reached by coaches.....Of course, we lack so many other things, money, infrastructures and all of that...but above all that what we are lacking right now is PRIDE, WENE....it s like players put the ethiopian jersey on and do not realize everything that they have on their shoulder, player take it as part of their job( kind of)....Of course each and every one of them will say "....Be ewenetu kehone....ageren bemewekele betam tilik kourat yissemagnal..." .....When was the last time this sentence was applied on the pitch.....Now back to my point about the coaches....I really think the responsibility is on the coaches....they have to inject the unconditionnal love of the jersey, of the colors , in these kids, whenever they were the jersey, it has to feel like they are 'floating '.....I beleive the coaches have to be honnest, direct and open with the players.....Share their strategies, openely discuss soccer and none soccer aspects of life, yet It cant be like it has been done til now, where the coach is the father figure type of thing, the authority, that is, and loves that authority....Players will respect a coach because his abilties, not because he has the title of coach...I beleive it is possible to have a coach that could bond with a GROUP of talented players, that he would keep over a 3, 4 years....there would be a ciment between them, a natural bond which is carrying a share of your country s hope on your shoulders....and only a coach can do that....All around the world, we see national team brazilians playing in different clubs(best clubs where winning is very important...$$$$)...u ll always see them greet each other...or be the middle man if there is a fight...why? let s go back to us, ethiopians, all year long, we are hating each other, buna, giorgis, eelpa....and so on....to exttreme points.....ashou getting out of the field waving his hands that he is not about money.....After that when he is playing for ethiopia, i dont think he can give 100% because he doesn t like his teammate that plays in giorgis......Far from to pick on him, he s one of the best in a long time....it s the same thing the other way around..... point being, It has to be a coach's job to make players connect on a higher level....our common identity, an urge to have your country' s name called out for good performances....As an amateur football player...i think i could die on the pitch if i ever wore the ethiopian jersey, but to face all the humiliations we faced the past 10 -15 years.....We need one UNIFIER..... One coach, One goal, One soul.....
